Download the form here to submit your proposal.

Submissions are invited in the following themes:
  • Policy
  • Inclusivity
  • Learning Analytics
  • Technologies
  • Active, practice based learning
  • Employability
  • Innovation

Submissions are encouraged to:
  • consider multiple perspectives (staff, students, employers, policy)
  • demonstrate evidence and impact
  • be active.

We encourage submissions by new presenters.

The submission deadline is 27th April. Please email your completed proposal to Deeba Gallacher (d.gallacher@mdx.ac.uk).

Session formats
  • Symposium – 60 minutes
  • Workshops – 60 minutes
  • Pecha Kucha – 20x20 format (20 slides for 20 seconds)
  • Poster Presentations (Virtual Posters)

Workshops or symposiums are both 60 minutes long and are expected to engage the audience. Symposiums are expected to have three short (15-minute) presentations, followed by 15 minutes of discussion. Ideally, contributions will come forward as a complete symposium. In the case of incomplete symposiums, the Conference team will attempt to group presenters by themes. We are particularly interested in sessions delivered in collaboration between Schools and/or Services and including students.

Successful applicants will be notified during May. Proposals for successful applications will be added to the Conference website prior to the event.

Review criteria

Each proposal will be assessed on the following criteria:
  • clarity of the proposal
  • originality/innovation
  • implications of the findings for the learning and teaching community
  • anticipated interest.
Amendments (i.e. change of format) may be requested so the proposal is included on the programme.

Please note registration to attend the conference will open in June once the conference programme has been finalised.
